Co-Presidents St. Johns Rotary, Gary Key (Ph: 021 611169), and Graham Fabian (Ph: 021 826292).
Great turnout on Thursday night for our Golf and Fish n Chips get-together - huge thanks to Lesley and Penny for organising the evening. Those that did have a hit showed prodigious ability in placing the balls all over the place - best shot I saw was the golfer who lined up the light standard and scored a bull eye!!! What skill !!!
It was with pride and pleasure that your Co Presidents inducted our two newest members Harsha and Stuart. Welcome to you both to the Rotary Club of St Johns.
Last Saturday, we had the absolute pleasure of attending the Disability Camp organised and run by Ainie - who is an absolute credit to the Club and to the District!!! We all had such a lot of fun with plenty of laughter!!! Huge thank you to Ainie and all the RYLArians, the ever supportive George, plus members of Drury and Papatoetoe Rotary Clubs, with Lesley, Colin, DG Allan and Sue dropping in for lunch and a presentation.
Look forward to seeing you all at the Quiz Night !!!
Apologies from Bulletin Editor - I am currently out of town on School Holiday grandchildren (x3) duty with only Pre-Paid, and a very erratic / weak data feed, to work with. Hence this weeks Bulletin is very limited in content.
The Presidents Pen above covers off most highlights of last weeks evening meeting and Ed. will endeavour to include some photos of the Golf and F & C night in next weeks publication - apologies.
Sergeant: There was no Sergeant session at last weeks meeting, but the Sunshine Fund is currently sitting at $5,606.23. Don't forget to submit any suggestions that you may have as to how a donation from the Sunshine Fund maybe able to assist a local needy cause in some small way.
Now only 4 days away from our Quiz Night, but we still have tables and seats to sell, so it's not too late to be part of the fun, and more importantly - help the club reach its goals to support the significant range of youth programmes that we normally do!
Full details are detailed on the attached flyer - just click on "Read More" to see this.
Please note that the October DG Newsletter was sent to you last week. This is the official communication from DG Allan to all D9920 Rotarians. Read now and stay up to date with District priorities as well as stories from around the District.
Over the last few weeks there has been a large amount of discussion around the evolution of Rotary. Clubs have now gone through a large discussion process and have come to a decision. Three clubs voted not to support Regionalisation, but all the other clubs in the District have supported this pilot programme.
An implementation team will be established and if you wish to be involved, using your own skill sets, please contact DG Allan who will direct you to the right person to have a discussion.
The next 3 years will be hard work managing change and how we do things. Don’t lose sight of the fact that our clubs remain the same and continue to serve your communities.
More details regarding programme, guest speakers, registration etc. will be shared over the coming weeks, but in the meantime, ensure that you have these dates in your diary.
WATCH THIS SPACE for more information as speakers and the conference programme are confirmed.
Not only do we have District 9920 Conference to look forward to, get ready to Imagine what’s next with Rotary!
