Greetings to all members - take a bow!! What a fabulous, successful, fun filled Quiz Night we had on Thursday night, with just under 200 people who were thoroughly entertained, leaving with perhaps a lighter wallet!! Huge shout out to master mind organisers Aubrey and Miles for stitching together the whole Event!! Naturally supported by all of our Club Volunteers.
We also acknowledge the support of New World Stonefields, and to all of our Sponsors.
To Michele Mann a huge thank you for your generous donation to cover the cost of dinner. Aubrey sent out a note to all members notifying of a financial preliminary result of around $12,500 - Fantastic!! Wow what a night. So a big thank you to all who were involved, from front of House, to back of House.
Thank you to Councilor Simpson for representing the Mayor, and congratulations to our own Councilors, Angus and Margaret, on their recent election.
To all Members - please make an effort to attend this week's meeting to hear from our very own DG Allan and Sue. See you all on Thursday.

Saturday: Conference
Saturday: Past District Governor Cocktail Hour

Ainie Kwok created and lead the first "Breaking Barriers" Disability Day as a new District 9920 Youth programme, and what an amazing day that was. Above you can see some of the participants flying their self-made kites. Each disabled person was matched with a Rotaractor or a RYLA alumni, and they all had a wonderful experience. St Johns Rotary assisted in a number of ways. The full story written by Ainie is below. A picture tells a thousand words so a carousel of pictures is HERE.
Good afternoon to all members of the Rotary Club of St Johns
Thank you very much for being a massive supporter of the Rotary District 9920 Youth Program, especially the pilot project of "Disability Day" Camp at Sacred Heart College.
Your contributions and assistance on the day are greatly appreciated by all.
We were unable to post photos of the Fish n Chip / Golf night last week, (which now seems forever ago), but as promised here are a few photos for your viewing. Click on "Read More" below.
This week's Snap Chatterer, Thursday October 20th, will be Member, Miles Cain. A man of many talents and many holidays. But to hear the real story, you need to be present at this week's meeting!
On 11 November 2022, Auckland is again going to see the Sea of Red as Rotarians from both D9920 and D9910 spend the day riding the trains and ferries in the Auckland region to raise funds and create awareness for the End Polio Now campaign.
It will be a great day, and if you ask anyone who has participated in previous years, there is a lot of Rotary sharing going on during this event.
St. Johns member Murray Hutchinson will be leading the charge on behalf of the RCSTJ and he is now looking for other members to join him on the day. If you are able to join him, please contact Murray at your earliest convenience and he will provide more details.
